10 Year Old, 100 Acre Teak Plantation in Belize, Central America
|
Belmopan, Belize, Central America - March 10, 2008 – The owners of Banana Bank Ranch, a 4,000 acre multipurpose ranch, farm, and tropical forest lodge (www.bananabank.com), nestled in the Belize River valley in Belmopan, Belize, Central America has retained the sales consulting firm The Allasso Group of Norwalk, CT USA to represent their interests in the sale of their 100 acre Teak Plantation.
“This represents a great opportunity to leverage the burgeoning international teakwood market without having to wait 20+ years for a return on investment in a new teak plantation venture,” states Dan Gallo, Managing Director of The Allasso Group. “The Banana Bank plantation is well established at over 10 years of growth and it’s already proven to be a great location for growing teak. Although full harvests can begin as soon as the 20th year, lumber revenue from an estimated 670,000 board feet of young teak is expected from plantation thinnings in 2009 through 2012.”
“We chose Dan’s firm to represent us because, among other things, we know and trust the way he operates. He’s been bringing teams of people from the USA with The Word At Work (www.twaw.org) to build homes and orphanages for the poorest in Belize since 2002, and staying at Banana Bank Lodge since 2004,” says John Carr, co-owner and operator of the Banana Bank Ranch. “I’ve been discussing the teak farm with Dan for over 2 years. When we decided to sell the teak trees in order to focus on running the Lodge, farming over 2,000 acres, tending to our 175+ horses and our burgeoning cattle business, Dan’s firm was the natural choice to represent our interests.”
